 John's middle name is also spelled Parrin as well as Parren. It is also his maternal grandmother's family name (Jane Parran Taylor). Note that she used the alternate spelling of Parran. John has a grandson who used the Parrin spelling: John Parrin Curtis who was born in California in 1921.
