Day 9 Drive along the Antrim Coast Explore the Giant’s Causeway

Breakfast: Onboard in the ship’s dining room beginning around 6am.

Morning: We’ll check out of our hotel around 9am and drive by private motorcoach for a scenic drive through the glens of the Antrim Coast, taking in the diverse landscapes that include glacial valleys, grassy cliffs, dense woods, and quaint villages. Along the way, we’ll stop in the village of Carnlough to stretch our legs before continuing our drive to the Giant’s Causeway.

Lunch: We’ll stop at a pub along the coast for an included lunch at around 11:30am.

Afternoon: At around 12:45pm, we’ll arrive at Giant’s Causeway and begin exploring this natural wonder. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986, the Giant’s Causeway is an unforgettable landscape formed by volcanic eruptions dating back millions of years. Here, hexagonal basalt columns line the coast, forming natural stairs leading from igneous rock cliffs into the sea.

We’ll depart the Causeway around 2:45pm, and return to our ship in Belfast. If you’d like to continue exploring Belfast independently, your Trip Experience Leader can help arrange for you to be dropped off in the city.

Dinner: Onboard in the ship’s dining room around 7pm. .

Evening: You have the freedom to spend the rest of your evening as you wish. Perhaps you’ll enjoy a nightcap at the bar or relax in the lounge with fellow travelers to discuss today’s discoveries. We’ll sail toward Barrow-in-Furness, our gateway to England’s Lake District tonight.
