Zagreb, capital of the Republic of Coratia, is an old Central European city. Zagreb is a business centre, University City, and city of culture, art and entertainment.  Zagreb offers its guest the Baroque feel of the Upper Town, picturesque open-air markets like Dolac, Zagreb's picturesque open-air produce market thrills with its plentitude of colors and scents,  various kinds of shops and a town of green parks and promenades.

The Square of Tomislav is a part of the Green Horseshoe;  this is a grand sequence of eight linked squares that make up the central axis of the downtown area. Ban Josip Jelacic Square, the central square is the favorite meeting place for Zagreb natives and the starting off point for looking the town,

You can buy tickets on kiosk and it is 8.00 HRK In the tram and it is 10.00 HRK, You can also buy one-day ticket and it is 25.00 HRK. Tram is valid for hour and a half you to validate it at the machine in the train,

MUSEUMS IN ZAGREB

The Mimara Museum is a museum and gallery centre housing a valuable collection of artworks, the gift of and Wiltrud Topic - Mimara, with more than 3,750 artworks. It is located on Roosevelt's square No 4, Entrance is 20 kunas. Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Mondays closed.

City Museum of Zagreb established in 1907 in the complex of the former Klaris monastery. It is located on Opaticka ulica 20, in Upper Town. The closest tram stops are in Jelacic Square, Ilica and Frankopanska Street, then walking five minutes up Radiceva or Mesnicka Streets. There is a funicular from Tomiceva Street. It has more than 4.500 displaned object. Open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM, Thursday 10:00 AM-10:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. Closed on Mondays and holidays. Entrance fee is 20 kunas.

The Museum of art and craft displays a rich collection of artistic use-objects, from the Gothic until the present day. Open Tuesday-Friday 10:00 AM-7:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. Mondays Closed.  It is located on Marshall Tito Square No 10 and it is 15 minutes walking distance from your hotel. Entrance is 20 kunas, Thursdays free of charge.

Ethnographic Museum is located on Mazuranic's Square, 15 minutes walking distance from your hotel. Working hours: Tuesday - Thursday 10:00 AM-6:00 PM, Friday-Sunday 10:00 AM-1:00 PM, Mondays Closed. Entrance fee is 10 kunas.

Archeological Museum - Located on Nikola Subic Zrinski Square. Museum features the permanent exhibit of the Prehistoric collection. Working hours: Tuesday-Friday 10:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Saturday - Sunday 10:00AM-1:00 PM, Mondays closed. Entrance fee is 20 Kunas.

PARKS IN ZAGREB

Zagreb abounds in parks and green areas. Maksimir is the largest and most beautiful park in South East Europe; it was laid out long ago in 1794; it is graced by an old oak forest, sunny meadows and romantic lakes.

Zrinjevac Garden in the very city centre of the city, always carefully looked after for people walking.

The Botanical Garden in the very centre of town is real oasis of beauty and calm in the centre of the business bustle. Open for visits from April 1st -November 1st: Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00AM - 2:30PM, Wednesday-Sunday from 9:00AM-7:00PM. Entrance is of free os charge.

Ribnjak - an intimate little park in the shadow of the cathedral's towers.
