Theodore Eugene "Ted" Simmerman 1938 - 2002

 

Theodore Eugene "Ted" Simmerman, 63, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2002, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri.

Burial: Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Ted was born September  13, 1938, in Oak Grove, Missouri, to Eugene R. and Norine E. Love Simmerman. He had lived in Texas for 25 years; prior to that he had lived in the Denver area. He worked for Dow Chemical and was president of the union for several years. He then owned and operated the Mountain Man Restaurant in Estes Park, Colorado.

He was a devoted husband who loved fishing and was an outdoorsman.

Survivors: He leaves his wife, Eileen, of Alvarado; sons, Brad Simmerman and his son, Billy, and daughter, Shanyn Nichole, of Blairstown, Missouri, and Kevin Simmerman and Kurt McMinn of Blue Springs, Missouri; stepdaughter, Teri Bolding (Garry) of Ferris; stepson, Todd Hoelscher of Watauga; sister, Betty Steinmeyer (Ken) of San Antonio; and mother, Norine Simmerman of Independence, Missouri.
