2010 Class Updates 1/9/10 This is from the "Eastern Star". (Sally was Sally Knoop, in our WCHS '56 class) Sister Sally McMillan, Grand Marshal 2008, underwent major surgery Wednesday, Jan. 6, at University Hospital in Columbia, to repair an aortic aneurysm. We praise God that her surgery went well. The doctors were amazed she was still with us, as the aneurysm had perforated. Following that surgery, they removed more tissue from her cheek, where she had had a previous surgery to remove a cancerous spot inside her cheek. After testing the tissue removed in the first surgery, the edges weren't "clean" so they wanted to remove more. Her husband, Mac, just called me to say they have taken her off of the ventilator, and although her throat is very sore right now, she was trying to joke with them. She will continue to be in ICU for a few more days. Please keep Sally in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. Cards may be sent to her at: Sally
